UPDATE, March 29, 2020. Based on the current situation in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak in the world, the fact that many countries have implemented measures to avoid virus spread such as lockdown, border closures, strong travel restrictions, and considering the recommendations of the International Advisory Board, the 21st ICMBE is postponed for one year, to September 5 – 10, 2021. We sincerely wish you to stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 outbreak. We are aware of the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and its evolution in the world. We are continuously working on the organization of the ICMBE2020 and making our best effort to have a great conference. However, the health and safety of attendees, committee members and the general population are our top priority. For now, we are working with the established dates, only the deadline for abstract submission has been modified. We will update this notice by the end of March, or earlier if necessary, indicating if we consider that the ICMBE2020 can take place on the scheduled date or will be postponed.

Notice: deadline for Al Cho MBE Award and Young Investigator Award is extended to August 31st, 2020.


21st ICMBE - POSTPONED: September 5-10, 2021, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

This series of successful conferences began in 1978 in Paris, and in recent years, has taken place in Nara, Japan (2012); Flagstaff, USA (2014); Montpellier, France (2016), and Shanghai, China (2018). The 21st International Conference in Molecular Beam Epitaxy will take place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The International Conference on Molecular Beam Epitaxy provides a prominent international forum for reporting new developments in the areas of fundamental and applied molecular beam epitaxy research, including advances in the technique, synthesis of new materials, discovery of new physical properties, formation of novel heterostructures, and the development of innovative devices.
